Has anybody managed to get the LAN driver working on the NUC 7th Gen with Windows 2012 R2 as the host OS?
I bought two of them for running a dev lab environment at home, each one runs 4-5 Linux VMs. In order to save resources, I wanted to use Windows 2012 as the operating system in order to use full resources for my Linux guest VMs - I only need a full version of IIS and a proprietary licensing tool that depends on a Windows OS, so it seems to make sense to not take up a VM just for that. I've tried all the bundled drivers for Windows 10, unzipped the exe installers for these drivers just to get at the bare drivers, Tried this driver: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23073/Intel-Network-Adapter-Driver-for-Windows-Server-2012-R2- But the hardware is just not recognised. I've tried installing Windows 10 on it and that recognises the driver, so the unit doesn't appear to be faulty.
