To reset your desktop gadgets back, follow the steps provided below:

1) Make sure the sidebar is completely closed (check in task manager for sidebar.exe)

2) Open explorer, go to %localappdata%microsoftWindows Sidebar

3) Rename settings.ini to settings.ini.bak (or anything else)

4) Open the sidebar; it should be reset to defaults.

Weather Gadget will pull the weather report for the same day from the Internet.

You may synchronize the date and time with internet server and check if that fixes the issue:
